About Christina:
Christina Cooper is an Americana, country, folk songstress! Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, has made Portland area her home the past twenty four years. At the age of five, began Suzuki method piano training. Later middle/highschool she trained classically singing. Auditioning and performing in nationally recognized gold medal winning choirs, she was awarded vocalist of the year. Later after having children, Christina took up guitar and began playing/singing country, folk, singer-songwriter style music.
Vocally compared to artists like Ann Wilson, Linda Ronstadt, Trisha Yearwood. Her powerful, soulful, rapturous vocals will mesmerize you, her repertoire is eclectic and vast.
Over the past thirteen years has played and recorded with many local great musicians. Also in demand lending her voice on many top local music artists projects and albums recording at various studios including the great Kung Fu Bakery Studio with late great producer Tim Ellis. Her own solo record called “No Other Place” produced by Jim Walker, a mix of original songs and favorite covers is now out on ITunes and Spotify.
Christina plays local wineries, private events and large charity galas…to name a few.
When she’s not singing she is a full time hairstylist, business owner and mom raising her three amazing now college age kids.
